GatorLUG meetings go LIVE!
Starting tomorrow at the June meeting, GatorLUG meetings will be streamed live in Ogg format with Icecast Server. You may access both streams at http://www.gatorlug.org/streams/. While tomorrow is only a trial run, I've performed enough testing to be confident that all will go well.
Also, streams will be made available after the meeting as static ogg files, once the live stream ends. If you tune in to the live stream when it isn't up, you will be moved to the looped stream until the live stream starts, at which point you will be moved back to the live stream.
If you have any suggestions or fun Linux-related clips for the looped stream, please pass them along and I'll do my best to include/add them. Thanks.
The stream worked reasonably
The stream worked reasonably well when I tried connecting to it. Too bad the recording is no good.
VC had horrible bandwidth;
VC had horrible bandwidth; we got a nice big broken file on the server. We'll be recording it locally as well next time...
